The June Spectacular
Taree Aquatic Powerboat Club runs its June Spectacular on the Manning over the long weekend, with hydroplanes and outboards racing past Queen Elizabeth Park. Bring a chair to the foreshore and feel the spray.

Whale watching & winter water
Beaches are unpatrolled in winter. If you swim, choose a calm spot, never swim alone, and tell someone where you are.
Watch whales safely
Use the headland lookouts at Cape Hawke, Bennetts Head and Crowdy Head. Boats and paddlecraft keep at least 100 metres from whales.
